Bangalore: Shocking relevance – illegal way of nursing education spotted at Raghavendra College of Nursing, Davangere, in Karnataka state. A student who underwent Post Basic BSc (PB BSc(N)) nursing education at this nursing college without attending regular classes allowed to take exams. Evidences obtained from various sources establish that this way of illegal nursing education happens only with the silent support of Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, (RGUHS) Bangalore.
It is mandated by Indian Nursing Council and RGUHS that those takers of this Post Basic BSc (PB BSc (N)) nurse and MSc nursing courses should attend 2300 hours and 1300 hours of practical clinical practices. Those who failing to comply with this, are not eligible for serving in the health care sector. But contrary to all the existing rules and regulations of this course, various evidences obtained by our correspondents reveal the shocking story.
Ms.Preethi Carol D’Souza obtained admission for studying PB BSc nursing course at Raghavendra College of Nursing, Davangere in the year 2017-2018.
After paying the required fees, Ms. Preethi Carol D’Souza’s admission confirmed at Raghavendra College of Nursing, Davangere and she received the admission memo from this nursing college.,
As per the various norms and rules and regulations of INC & RGUHS she was supposed to attend the regular class for PB. B Sc nursing course at Raghavendra College of Nursing, Davangere. But later on a working visa issued by Qatar government on 01-03-2018 and she left for Qatar an Arabian country. And the nursing college authorities permitted her to leave abroad. Meantime her admission was approved by RGUHS.
The admission approval process at RGUHS is a lengthy process and it’s mandatory for all the affiliated nursing college authorities to submit various documents related to students for admission approval before RGUHS. Above all an affidavit or a declaration from each student in a separate judicial stamp paper, attested by a notary should be submitted before RGUHS. Apart from this affidavit, the Principals of all the nursing college also should submit an undertaking by themselves before RGUHS to obtain admission approval for students. In the notary attested affidavit by students they should declare they are attending regular classes and also they have to declare that they are not been employed permanently or on a part time basis either in India or at abroad during the course of their study and the same is also declared by the Principals in their declaration too.
While we cross checking the travel documents of Ms.Preethi Carol D’Souza, whose Passport Number is R3942324NORMAL which is available with External Affairs Ministry, Govt. of India, it is clear that she was not in India for long time and she was not attending regular classes at Raghavendra College of Nursing, Davangere. So the declaration made in the affidavit, which is attested by the notary is false and fake. Also the declaration executed by the Principal is also false and fake.
As per the existing criminal law of the country executing a fake and manipulated affidavit in a judicial stamp paper is a criminal offence which is similar to printing and distributing counterfeit notes. Management and Principal of Raghavendra College of Nursing, Davangere fabricated and manipulated the information executed in the affidavit in the judicial stamp paper and obtained admission approval.
When Future 360 spoke to Ms. Preethi Carol D’Souza, who is currently in India, narrated that she was unaware about such affidavits or any declaration and also said that she never signed nor executed such affidavit in judicial stamp paper and getting ready to file criminal case against the management and principal with the police for initiating action against them.
Alleged RGUHS officials who are supposed to verify and scrutinize the various documents submitted by this nursing college authority, kept their eyes closed towards these forged and manipulated documents and approved Ms. Preethi Carol D’Souza’s admission and granted Register number 17V4291 to her. Later, after the announcement of 1st year PB BSc nursing examination scheduled to hold in September 2018, in the absence of Ms.Preethi Carol D’Souza, her application for examination submitted before RGUHS by this nursing college authority by forging her signature. Even though she is absent in regular class, the Principal who is in charge of student’s attendance and internal assessments, uploaded / submitted false documents and declaration before the RGUHS.
The same corrupted officials RGUHS, who are under the pay roll of this nursing college, closed their eyes towards these manipulations and without a proper scrutiny of the documents submitted by this nursing college authority, issued hall ticket to her.This is not a rare incident. Our team interacted many other students who are presently undergoing other nursing courses at this nursing institution. They disclosed that many students who are undergoing 1st year & 2nd year PB BSc nursing course are not attending regular class.
They work at different hospitals in India and abroad with the support of this nursing college authority. So it is known to everybody that such illegal activities are ongoing with the silent support of corrupted officials of RGUHS. Thus a large number of unqualified nurses are produced from this nursing college every year. Poor students fall into the trap of money minded managements and their agents and obtain admission to these nursing courses and finally bring uncertainty to their future life.
These unqualified nurses play a deadly game at the cost of precious human lives. This kind of practices poses big threat to the health care system of the humankind. This is a true incident of big conspiracy for sabotaging the health care system of our nation reflects there. This incident is a true story of a big scam in which the Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Science, Bangalore plays the major role. Surely this will cause damages to the integrity and sovereignty of our nation.
