Varalakshmi Trust established in the year 2003, headed by Mr. Vijay Kumar T, Founder Trustee with sole aim of offering quality Nursing Education thus to prepare competent Nurses to the society.
Varalakshmi School & College of Nursing is located in T. Dasarahalli, Bangalore, with adequate infrastructure that is required for Nursing Education. The college is recognized by Government of Karnataka, Indian Nursing Council New Delhi, State Nursing Council and affiliated to Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, Bangalore.
Varalakshmi College of Nursing started Diploma Programme in the year 2003 to prepare the Nurses who will function as member of health team beginning with competencies for first level position in both hospital & community.
In the next academic year itself i.e 2004, Under Graduate programme started with the aim of providing promotive, preventive, curative and rehabilitative services to the society. In the Golden feather of Varalakshmi College of Nursing crown in the year 2009, the Government of Karnataka and Indian Nursing Council recognized the institution for the Post Graduate programme with 5 specialties besides Post basic Nursing programme which started in the year 2009. Hence, the college got complete level of Nursing Education programmes.
From the year 2007, the institution is continuously organizing National level conferences, associated with Rajiv Gandhi University of Health Sciences, State level conferences and CNE programmes by the leadership of Prof. Walter Jaisingh P, whose missionary zeal in the guiding spirit behind the policies and standards of the college, the institute today has been known among the top most institutions providing quality Nursing Education to the students.
So the trust recognized him as the Managing Trustee of Varalakshmi Trust. Now Varalakshmi College of Nursing became the pioneers in the Nursing Education in Karnataka. From the inception in 2003, huge numbers of Nursing students are trained around the world. Current trend in health care industry demands the Nurses to be well versed with knowledge & practice.
Thus Varalakshmi College of Nursing became the composition of the students who hail from different ethnic groups & communities from all over the world provide a strong base for students in Nursing career.

LIBRARY
Our Library is equipped with all modern facilities like computers with internet connection, audio-visual facilities etc. total collection of text book and reference is about 3000 Nos. The college spends about Rs. 150000/- annually for subscription for various national and international journals. The college also subscribes HELINET of RGUHS which of about 1000 full text book of e- Journals.
PARENT HOSPITAL
Our College of Nursing is having its own hospital, Varalakshmi hospital; It is a 100 bedded multi specialty hospital with all the medical facilities especially for obstetrics and gynecology.
FACULTY
We have ample number of faculties in each departments include a team of senior professionals, with long years of teaching and clinical experience. 1:8 faculties to Students ratio are maintained. They are ever ready to reach out, help and guide the students along the road to success.
LAB FACILITY
The institution has developed well furnished separate laboratories with high facilities for all concerned subject like Fundamentals of Nursing, Nutrition, OBG, Anatomy and Physiology, Community Health Nursing, Bio-chemistry etc, where the students can convert their theoretical knowledge to practice with the proper guidance of experts in respected subjects.

HOSTEL
Varalakshmi College of Nursing hostel is located in lush green surrounding. The hostel is equipped with all modern amenities; also the hostel mess is having capacity to accommodate 300 students, furthermore, in hostel students have the opportunities of extracurricular activities like indoor games and outdoor games (Badminton, Caroms, Chess, and Table Tennis etc), television facilities, internet facilities with Wi-Fi and STD facility.

We have own transport facilities for fulfilling the academic activities.
SPORTS & CULTURAL
Varalakshmi College of Nursing focuses on the all round performance of the students. Hence we have different kinds of co-curricular activities for students along with academics.
The College has a fully operational sports & Cultural department which includes facilities like, indoors sports complex with wooden Table tennis, Chess, Caroms, also attached with multi-gym, etc .More over the college owns a multipurpose auditorium with the capacity of 500 seats where we conduct various inter collegiate organized by college and University.
SNA
Active SNA works are going on in our institution including lamp lighting ceremony, Christmas day celebration, Diwali, Onam, Holi and so on. Also we are celebrating all the main health days, every weekend there is an entertainment session like movie show.

As per the INC rule we have an active guidance and counseling committee to help the students to overcome their problems.
WOMEN EMPOWERMENT
We have women empowerment wing co-operating with other social agencies.

MUSIC & DANCE CLASS
Varalakshmi college of Nursing is providing the music & Dance classes on weekend for entertaining the students to bring up the talents in the specialized area.
Admission procedure :
Candidates seeking admission need to submit an Application form with prescribed fees through DD along with supporting documents. The admission will be on first come first served basis, subject to the availability of seats. The College will give you Provisional Admission Letter on receiving the filled up Application forms along with the fee. Your admission will remain provisional till the time it is confirmed by the University / Board.
The last date for submission of completed application forms is subject to the University / Board notifications regarding admissions.

All the above marks cards should be submitted in original with two sets of photocopy.
All admissions are subject to the rules and regulations of the University / Board and the final admission will be approved based on the eligibility criteria and submission of supporting documents in original as stipulated by the University / Board.
Admission will be cancelled if, Admission form is incomplete Admission forms are received without supporting documents.
Required educational qualifications are not fulfilled; false documents are submitted Incorrect or wrong information is given.
Fees once paid will not be refunded under any circumstances.
